I am deeply sorry for Ms. Rosen, but that does not negate the fact that Damon Thompson made several complaints about harassment. She may have been very sweet to others, but clearly he did not see things that way. No one is victim blaming, but if we ignore that harassment might be a key contributing factor to some of these incidents of violence, then they will continue.

No one deserves to have their throats slashed, but no one deserves to be mobbed and bullied day in and out, that is a form of psychological violence, and that is capable of creating the end result that was demonstrated. If you fail to understand this, then you are just enabling this to happen again in the future.

I am glad UCLA has been an accepting place for you, but clearly it was not for him, what you think hardly matters, because this is about what was experienced by another person, how you interpret it hardly helps if he was indeed a target of mobbing on a daily basis.

Yes he did accuse the professor, and in other mobbing cases those in authority taking part are quite common and very regular, that is often why it is hard to get help or be believed, until the target has no where else to turn to.

I don't think one can say he had mental issues, if he was indeed targeted this way, then he had mobbing issues which should have been addressed and not ignored, ignoring them, blaming him, is most likely what lead to this end result, and until society is capable of recognizing this, and taking some form of ownership then the same will continue to happen. Eg. The recent shootings at the Kraft building.

This is ridiculous. I know the girl who was stabbed, and she's sweet as a fly and was never offensive. In any case, victim blaming is absolutely pathetic. No one deserves to have their throats slashed.

UCLA is a very accepting campus, and I highly doubt that this guy ever faced so many offensive remarks that it led him to want to commit murder. He even accused his professor of being offensive to him. He clearly has some mental issues that need to be worked out.

They do the exact same thing with workplace mobbing, they use the complaints to show that the person was mentally unwell, and try to cover up the facts often that there was mobbing happening in the enviornment.
